the giving rats
I tracked by train to see my rat people in upstate New York, I was surprised to see how big they had become. They grow so fast!. They have nice glossy coats and are keeping themselves clean so they don't smell. Their tails are a bit dirty but that is not unusual because for some reason rats don't really clean there tails. I heard that one of my rats was nipping people that change their cages but I never got bitten only happy chatter and received lots of scratches from their long nails

Rats viewed by Humans
Rats have a bad reputation for being dirty disease greed ridden creatures that smell awful and destroy things.
Most movies only help to ensure this perspective by making them damp and shining light in their eyes to make them squint viciously.whenever there is a rat. They have them squeaking an awful lot and doesn't owner of rats I know this only happens if you take food away from them or they are fighting with each other.
they also have people being attacked by ratswhich is odd because I don't know if that would happen in my in less were covered with peanut butter and if this was the case you would onlybe licked to death.

what the world needs is more material that is pro-rat. I know that there's material out there but more is needed to prove rats are wonderful.

Pet Rats Dress Up Time!
Rats with outfits
What is people's obsession with dressing up animals and little people close? People's cats with years down stuff in Santa that posing for Christmas cards.
I'm no exception when I had my rat Rattus on Christmas I had a small red and white fluffy stuff stocking that I had cut up and placed holes in for his little feet and put it over his head. He wore it like a little cape for a few minutes without protest.
My other rat able has suffered through various outfits. First I thought it would be nice if he learned how to walk him around on a harness so I could take him outside with me, after several days I finally managed to stuff him inside the harness and he liked it so little he barely wobbled around so I abandoned that plan.
Next I saw a video of a rat wearing a little black vest so I thought he
would look cute in something like that so I got him a Ken sport jacket
and struggle through putting that on him, which he didn't appreciate
much either.

Rats love Cats
Rats love Cats
When my First met my rat's of the time came in able he was very jealous so much so he peed in my closet ruined a lot of my clothes he liked to look at them out of the corner of his eye when they were in the cage.
But because they also are house pets they don't truly believe they have anything to fear, so they would rush up to him to give him a sniff but he would get scared and run away.
If they pause to clean themselves he would try to sneak up to them in the whole game of chase would start all over again.

Pet rats and picky eatting
Sugar cane favorite thing to eat was my natural oil painting soap or any other soap for that matter. He got into my yellow oil paint one seeming to make the chemical taste best. Even so this rat meant to before despite his exotic taste.
A full belly spot favorite food was mostly everything except for honey which really seem to insult him when it got stuck on his many whiskers. He was also very picky like with his eating habits could one time I gave him some stuffing as a treat and he stuffed his little face so fast he nearly choked.
Obo fancy pants was mostly too excited to eat anything if I carried him around the house. Now that he's older he is much, and loves fishing for peas in the water filled dish, but because he is so greedy he would take peas in his mouth and take one in his hand to eat later.
Kitten being one of my newest rats he doesn't have any strange eating habits except for biting fingers if you give him treats too slowly.

Working Rats
Rats are not only the lovable lap potatoes that you would adopt into your life, but they are leading double lives as actors and life savers.
The movies rats are seen in are Charlotte's Web , Ben , Willard, Ratatouille and Hotel Transylvania. Of course many dungeon movies have prancing rat actors in them also.
African pouched rats are trained to sniff out land the mines saving many people from blown up limbs. People that live in the places that these rats work love t them so much they wrote a song about them!

Pet rat Story Time
Sugar Cain-was one of my first rattys I bought him at the pet store. He was a little albino all white rat. He was really really shy all he wanted to was hide in my hair. His eyesight was very poor so he would leave his head back and forth in order to understand where things were. I had tacked posters on my walls and he would jump into them thinking they were dark places that he could visit.
Able belly spots-I purchased him with Cain and he was my all time favorite because he was a peacemaker of all the new rats Intel the day he died. He was made with and groom any stranger and when he was young he would try to jump from my shoulders to others he would be the first one to figure out the puzzle boxes that treats inside.
Kuros-team might at so I was unclear about his age but once he was cleaned up and fed a better diet he became a great new level ratty. Bouncing and chasing feathers.
Rattus-came with Kuros and his favorite thing to do was eat and cuddle. He would go on long car rides with me and chatted the whole time.
Obo fancy pants-purchase because every day I went to the pet store he was there and I had to take him me he was really shy and scared at first but then became fast friends with Able and would do anything he did even when able got tired of him and through him on his back and cleaned his belly he would still be taking a nap with him nose to nose.

Fun games to play with Rats
Teaching your rat its name by calling its name and rewarding it with a treat when it responds
Make a rat piñata
wrap some newspaper around a treat and tie it to the top of the cage
Cover yourself in a blanket and release your rat so they can enjoy using you as a playpen
Stuff rats in your pocket and go about your day you can even go outside for a that if you're rats are well behaved and the weather is fine
Let them chase bubbles feathers and yarn

Why you should love rats
They don't growl or bark in less your my rat Obo who met two rats for the first time and he was just confused and scared.
They don't get in your way because if you're done playing and petting with them you can put them back in their Rat house. Mine too late getting in the way though because I taught them to follow me around the room that I played with them in.
They are very low maintenance pet because the minimum hour of outside the cage time is three hours in length they are just too cute for their own good and you feel compelled to take them out more often than necessary and at odd moments like when you sit down to eat dinner.
They don't really smelled bad if you clean their cages at least once a week. When you wash your rat he will tend to smell a little like grape soda.
You never have to do your homework or watch a movie alone because a rat will be more than happy to sit on your lap or shoulder and chatter happily away.

When rats became my love
Rats entered my life with a BIA-polar boyfriend and they were always the highlight of my day with him. They were two fancy rat males, one Russian blue self rat named Squid and anther hooded blue rat named Chain Saw. They lived in the corner of the bedroom close to the heater vent ( which i later learned was not healthy for rats) in a long ginny-pigs cage. They had only a water dish, a food dish and a pink igloo to sleep in. This may seem like the barely anything for happy rattys, and this is true because rats are really smart and need toys to entertain themselves. These poor rats never were picked up with out my ex wearing gloves and that was only because he was cleaning their cage. He wouldn't let me pick them up because he believe they were dirty even though rats clean themselves more then cats.
At the lest they had themselves to play with. They would romp up to the bars to nibble on my fingers and lick them with there cute little pink tongues. They would take food from me with there delicate little hands never biting me or hissing aggression like rats in the movies.
I fell in love with there lazy greeting which considered of a timid peak out of there heads then a yawn and a stretch. They became my favorite animal that day no other pet was a exited to see me or loved food and play more. That day I knew I needed two or three or five of my own!
